This image spawned a shitstorm on my Facebook feed, so I figured I’d show Tumblr and get some reactions. I’m not anti-abortion, btw. I’m just curious.

The group which made this can be found here.

EDIT: I’m so entranced by the inconsistency of the analogy presented in this poster. The first statement is an explicit rejection of the second.

[Image: “A sepia image of a woman at a pro-choice rally yelling with the words “My body, my choice” and a picture of a uterus with the word “mine” in it drawn on her stomach is captioned with the words “My body, my choice” in scarequotes. Underneath that image is a picture of two white plantation owners inspecting a black slave while other slaves look on. Underneath that image are the words “My plantation, my prerogative”.”]

Anti-choicers who push images like this are just tipping their hand. Comparing a woman claiming ownership of her body to a man claiming ownership of a piece of land just shows that they consider women to be mindless property in which seeds can be planted and then harvested. Like the OP said, the top image is actually more comparable to the slave in the second image telling the white slave owner to fuck off and to stop relying on his body to produce free labor (not that I’m really comparing criminalizing abortion to slavery since slavery came with a whole host of other issues as well as long-standing racial oppression that still exists today, but both are extractions of free labor from an oppressed group by the group in power).

So yeah, anti-choicers can fuck right off with this racism and total lack of understanding of power struggles.
